In Triplets, players use the symbols on hexagonal tiles to try to make patterns. Each of the three types of tiles features either one, two, or three symbols. You can form a triplet by grouping together three tiles with the same or contrasting characteristics.
As well as challenging your visual perception and pattern matching abilities, Triplets will twist your brain. Triplets won the KublaCon Game Design Contest in 2010.
How to play the Triplets game?
Find as many sets of three as you can in three minutes. The components of a triplet total to three (3). There are four attributes on each card, and three possible choices for each.
The tiles should be set up in an interlocking ring pattern, much like a honeycomb. Each triplet is scored by placing a marker in the ring's empty center, and the three tiles must be on a single ring of hexagons for the score to be recorded. Each tile is part of three rings, so there are various ways to score in a single round thanks to the high density of possible triplets on a single ring. Whoever racks up the most triples at the end of the game is declared the winner.
