Sweardle is a filthy word guessing game inspired by Josh Wardle's 2021 game Wordle. The game was created in 2022 by an anonymous creator who intended to replicate Wordle and has progressively gained in popularity. A daily refresher word puzzle challenges players to play a succession of four-letter swear words.
Sweardle is played in a similar manner to Wordle. Every day, a player will come to the site and find an empty grid of squares. To get started, players will need to guess a word. Sweardle, unlike Wordle, uses four-letter words with four guesses, making it a bit simpler and easier to understand. As with Wordle, a yellow brick indicates that the letter is in the wrong spot, while a green brick indicates that the proper letter is in the correct place. Only obscenities will be tolerated.
