Cladder is an updated version of the classic word game Wordle that incorporates a new tactical layer. Players in this game have one minute to use hints to guess 10 words, which is significantly less time than other options. One letter change from a four-letter seed word yields the solution.
How to play the Cladder game?
You have 60 seconds to solve all ten clues in Cladder, but beware—it's simple to become stuck on a clue, especially when you're pressed for time. You must substitute one letter from the preceding word to create a new one. Every game you play will provide you two "skip" alternatives that, in exchange for 5 seconds of your time, will give you the right answer.
Use CASH as an illustration. The hint says to "run quickly." To create the word DASH, you must add a D before the first letter of your response. Change one letter in the word DASH, according to the next clue. For instance, change the A in the clue "a plate of food" to an I to get the word DISH. Continue in this manner until all 10 riddles have been solved.
On a touchscreen, you simply touch the square that has to be modified and type the desired letter to play the game of Cladder. On a different device, such a laptop, you have to type the whole term. Similar to Wordle, Cladder only adds one new entry per day. The good news is that you can play every single old Cladder puzzle in the Cladder archive if that isn't enough for you.
